Each year, the Mary Honeywell School Council organizes several fundraising initiatives to support different activities and improvements at our school. Last year, Council raised more than $25,000. Each year those funds are used to purchase things for the school such as: learning materials (eg. French and English library books and reading resources); class supplies; Chrome Books; musical instruments (eg. Ukuleles); furniture for the classrooms (eg. fans and carpets); new sports equipment; and a long list of other important additions to our school. They also supported special events and activities for our kids, like Mathletes and Fun Day; movie nights and dances. And in order to continue this wonderful tradition, we are setting the same goal for this year. With your help, we are hoping to raise at least $25,000 !
As many recall, last year we tried something new where we asked the families of Mary Honeywell to consider donating directly to the School Council and we were amazed at the support that we received.
This holiday season, we are kindly asking that you consider giving a gift to MHES so that we may continue supporting our kids
Until December 7, 2018, donations can be made by simply signing in to School Cash Online, the online payment system that our school already uses! It’s quick AND easy!
**Tax receipts are available upon request for donations over $25. Simply print off your donation receipt and send in to your child’s teacher.**
In addition to this initiative, Council will have additional fundraisers later in the year to help us achieve our target of $25,000 however, this donate-what-you-can fundraiser will help us get down to the business of supporting the school and our community right away. If each family at Mary Honeywell donated $25 (per child), we would raise over half of our $25,000 goal in a single fundraising effort.
